On the Waterfront

We toodled down on the rental bikes that sit outside the metro stations (the T-bana or Tunnelbana) and next to the bus stops near our apartment.  The bikes have U-shaped handlebars and back-pedal brakes, so I felt like I was 8 years old riding them.  (Couldn’t wait for mine to arrive with the movers!)

We toodled past horses in pasture, turnoffs to what looked like could have been spectacular mansions, and tempting paths that led into what I think of as the King’s Woods (but it’s really just Gärdet). The sun just started to set as we reached the pier at the end of one of the roads we chose to follow, it must have been around 8:30 or 9 pm.  But it didn’t get dark until after we got home, maybe half an hour later.
